ABOUT

Kate Kaiser is a self-taught artist living with her husband, daughter, dog, 12 chickens and 5 cats in rural Colbert, Georgia.

She works mostly with oil paints but dabbles in oil pastels and acrylics from time to time. Her works are small— seldom larger than 12 inches by 12 inches— because she wants you to get physically close to the paintings, to feel a true intimacy with her works.

Her most recent works are lovingly nick-named “postcards from the apocolypse,” small catastrophes that investigate that distinct moment at the end of human life. What does it look like? How does it feel? Can it, is it, actually something beautiful?

Two of Kate’s paintings have been chosen by jury to be shown at Lyndon House Art’s Center 46th Annual Juried Art Exhibit March 11th- June 26th.
